This week, the platform has also introduced TikTok Now as their attempt to rival BeReal, in order to ā€˜foster authentic and spontaneous connections on TikTok, expanding ways to entertain and be entertained with the most authentic moment sharing.ā€™


According to TikTok, this new creation tool brings the authenticity of TikTok to a whole new creative experience that connects you with those closest to you in a fun format. Very similarly to BeReal, TikTok Now invites you and your friends to capture an in-the-moment photo or a 10-second video using your deviceā€™s front and back cameras to easily share what youā€™re up to.


TikTok Now can be accessed in-app in the US and may be available as a new TikTok Now app in other regions. TikTok will continue to experiment with the new feature over the coming weeks as it learns more about the TikTok community in order to enhance the user experience.
